Conference Scholarship for Students

STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP FOR AGS VIRTUAL CONFERENCE JUNE 18-JUNE 27, 2021

Open to all graduate and undergraduate students at an accredited college or university. Non- US students are welcome to apply. The winner must become a member of AGS ($25/year for students and includes Markers and Quarterly subscriptions).

Share Your Research

All study of gravestones, cemeteries, or closely related topics is eligible: preservation issues, carver studies, marker styles and motifs, burial practices, surveys, individual histories, etc.

Receive Full Conference Registration & Cash

Scholarship includes the opportunity to present a paper at the conference, virtual workshops, special events, and a $150 cash prize.

Networking at its Best

Meet conservators, cemetery managers, historians, advocates, preservationists, other students, and early career professionals from around the world who practice, research, and promote gravestone studies.

The submission requires an application form, cover letter, one-page abstract, draft of visual presentation, and a reference letter from an academic adviser.
