Student Scholarship 2022

The Association for Gravestone Studies (AGS) promotes the academic study of gravemarkers, cemeteries and related topics internationally through an annual conference and its peer-reviewed journal Markers.

This year our annual conference will be held with both virtual and in-person components, and we invite applications from students for FREE CONFERENCE PLACES (Student Conference Scholarships), open to graduate and undergraduate students enrolled at any university or college worldwide.

The AGS Scholarship Committee welcomes applications from students interested in all aspects of gravestone and cemetery studies. The annual conference is an opportunity to learn about new research, education and legal issues, and best practices in conservation and management while networking with academics, advocates, other students, and early career professionals.

AGS is offering two scholarships this year which include full conference registration and a cash prize in US dollars.
